During World War II, an American-Chinese coalition called the “Flying Tigers” fought against the Japanese in Asia. Among its volunteer pilots was Captain Ho Weng Toh, who completed 18 missions over China on the B-25 Mitchell, bombing strategic points to push back Japanese soldiers. After the war, he became a pioneer Singapore Airlines pilot. Ho passed away at 103 on January 6, 2024.
