02:35 Min

Air cargo handling services firm SATS is splitting up its ground handling business unit to boost efficiency, growth and help keep Singapore's status as a leading air hub. One unit will focus on regional markets, while the other on Singapore. The new unit Gateway Services Asia-Pacific wants to grow SATS' footprint in the 44 APAC locations they serve -- like Vietnam and India -- but also beyond. SATS will also keep its Singapore operations in focus and invest in new technologies, as part of its $300 million group-wide expenditure to drive growth. Claudia Lim reports.
