Seah Kian Peng welcomes Malaysia's Sultan Ibrahim in Parliament
In Parliament on Tuesday (May 7), Speaker Seah Kian Peng extended a “warm welcome” to Malaysia’s Sultan Ibrahim and his delegation, who were present in the gallery. Mr Seah told the House that Sultan Ibrahim’s diverse experiences both at home and abroad have put him in good stead to lead Johor and now Malaysia. He said Sultan Ibrahim is “no stranger to Singapore” and has always been an ardent supporter of “bringing our peoples closer together”. Mr Seah said Sultan Ibrahim’s visit is timely, with Singapore-Malaysia relations strong and robust. He expressed confidence that the visit is a “precursor to even stronger ties” between both countries.
