The Community Development Council (CDC) Vouchers Scheme is one of several measures introduced to help Singaporeans manage their cost of living and there is no evidence that the scheme has worsened the cost of living due to inflation, said Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Finance Shawn Huang. Responding to an MP’s question in parliament on Tuesday (Mar 3), he noted that CPI-All Items inflation has moderated in recent years from 4.8 per cent in 2023 to 2.4 per cent in 2024, and 0.9 per cent in 2025, even though the quantum of CDC vouchers increased over the period.
