Shawn Huang on workplace psychological safety

02:23 Min

The Ministry of Manpower recognises the role of psychological safety in fostering a positive work environment where employees feel comfortable raising their ideas and views. But rather than developing indicators or benchmarks for individual factors, it supports companies to assess and address workplace mental well-being holistically. Employers can use the online assessment tool iWorkHealth to identify common stressors and risks in their workplaces, including on psychological safety, and get an aggregated, anonymised report. Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Manpower Shawn Huang said this in the House on Wednesday (Aug 5) in answer to an MP’s questions.
