Shop thefts, voyeurism cases in Singapore rise in 2024
Physical crime cases in Singapore remained stable in 2024, with a slight increase of just three cases compared to the previous year. A total of 19,969 cases were reported, with shop thefts and voyeurism case numbers up again. 519 voyeurism cases were reported last year — a 9% rise. Over 30% of the incidents occurred in victims' own homes. Authorities are also concerned about the rise in outrage of modesty crimes, with more than 1,400 cases reported last year.
