Singapore PM Lawrence Wong in New Delhi on first official visit as head of government
Strengthening economic ties and unlocking opportunities are top on the agenda for both Singapore and India, as Prime Minister Lawrence Wong kicks off his official visit to New Delhi. This is his first trip to India as head of government. It also comes after both sides upgraded ties to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership last year. Mr Wong is accompanied by Acting Transport Minister Jeffrey Siow and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Trade and Industry Gan Siow Huang. Trade between both countries reached over S$50 billion in 2023. Rebecca Metteo reports.
