Singapore population stats: Fewer Singaporeans tying the knot, families getting smaller

Singapore's latest population figures show that fewer citizens are tying the knot and families are also getting smaller. While there was a slight uptick in births, the country's total fertility rate remains low - at just 0.97 in 2024, well below the replacement level of 2.1. CNA speaks to Dr Mathew Mathews, Head of the Social Lab at the Institute of Policy Studies at NUS.
