Singaporeans in Middle East asked to indicate interest in assisted departures

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its Overseas Missions in the Middle East are conducting a survey to gauge Singaporeans' interest in an assisted departure amid airport closures, following military action in the region. The MFA stressed that the survey does not confirm evacuation operations and noted it may not be feasible to facilitate departures from all regions and airports. Earlier, the Singapore Embassy in Riyadh had shared a similar form to gauge interest for a possible bus transfer to the Saudi capital's airport. Many Singaporeans remain worried about onward flights and potential cancellations, if the plan goes ahead. Muhammad Bahajjaj reports.
