Sitoh Yih Pin on motion celebrating Olympic and Paralympic achievements
As Singapore celebrates and recognises the successes of its athletes, it is equally important to have a strong multifaceted support system for all athletes to train with peace of mind, said MP Sitoh Yih Pin. Speaking in Parliament on Tuesday (Oct 5), he suggested working further with the private sector to spearhead these efforts. One way is to invite senior executives from the private sector to work with the Culture, Community and Youth Ministry to better support athletes holistically. This could translate to access to a wide range of resources, which can be utilised flexibly to meet the specific needs of athletes.
