SM Lee conferred Grand Cordon for contributions to bilateral ties with Japan

Singapore and Japan have discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in trade, security, as well as the digital and green sectors. In Tokyo, Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong was conferred one of Japan’s most prestigious awards, the Grand Cordon of the Order of the Rising Sun. It's for his contributions in fostering mutual understanding, friendship and goodwill between the two countries. Mr Lee also held a meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba and was hosted to lunch. Michiyo Ishida reports.
