South Korea's largest lobby group for community doctors has threatened an indefinite walkout from next Thursday (27 June), unless the government accepts its demands. Some 10,000 community doctors staged a one-day walkout to protest government plans for healthcare reform. The Korea Medical Association's demands include revisiting the issue of increasing medical school admissions, as well as withdrawing all punitive steps against trainee doctors who have stayed off work since late February. Lim Yun Suk reports.
