South Korea's parliament impeached acting president Han Duck-soo on Friday (Dec 27), less than two weeks after he assumed the role following President Yoon Suk Yeol's impeachment for declaring martial law. The country's main opposition party accused Han of "acting for insurrection" after he declined to immediately appoint three justices to fill vacancies at the Constitutional Court. Finance Minister Choi Sang-mok will now assume the role of acting president.
