South Korean defence minister says 'unlikely' that Pyongyang wants to start a war despite threats
South Korea's National Defense Minister Shin Won-sik has warned that North Korea could make threats to put the Korean peninsula on the “brink of war”, ahead of the US presidential election in November. But he said it is unlikely that Pyongyang wants to start a war. Mr Shin spoke to CNA's senior Korea correspondent Lim Yun Suk in Singapore in an exclusive interview, where he also voiced concerns about growing ties between North Korea and Russia.
