ST Engineering's AirFish could ply between Singapore and Batam from second half of 2026

A hovercraft-like vessel could begin carrying passengers between Singapore and Batam in the second half of this year. An ST Engineering Joint Venture will lease the craft to regional ferry operator BatamFast, which is expected to operate the route from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal. The AirFish, which can travel up to three times faster than conventional ferries, can transport up to eight passengers per trip.
