Singapore releases paper on nuclear energy, to deepen cooperation with two US institutes

Singapore is partnering two US organisations to share information and ideas for nuclear energy and its technologies. One is with non-profit applied science and technology firm Battelle, while the other is the Idaho National Laboratory, which has a nuclear energy lab. The country has also released a 16-page Background Paper on Singapore's Nuclear Energy Capability Building Journey. This, as Singapore explores nuclear as a possible safe and reliable energy option. Minister-in-charge of Energy and Science and Technology, Dr Tan See Leng, said the public will be updated on the progress. Nasyrah Rohim reports.
