KKR, Singtel to buy STT GDC for S$6.6b in one of biggest data centre deals

Telco Singtel and investment giant KKR are set to buy the remaining 82% stake of ST Telemedia Global Data Centres for S$6.6 billion. The deal will be one of the biggest data centre transactions in Southeast Asia, intensifying the race for compute capacity.Singtel says the move will allow it to be a stronger player in this space, and better capture growing digitalisation and AI demand.
