New IMDA initiative to help 500 firms adopt autonomous robots in next three years
Non-infocomm businesses in Singapore will soon get more support to integrate autonomous robots into their operations and digital systems. A three-year programme aims to help 500 local companies boost productivity, ease manpower pressures and enhance customer service. A study by the Infocomm Media Development Authority found that while most local firms see robots as key to boosting productivity, many are still unsure where or how to begin. The IMDA will fund half the cost of integrating the robots and building in-house capabilities for their continued use. Noah Kong reports.
