Singapore's first city planner Dr Liu Thai Ker dies

Singapore's leaders say founding urban planner Dr Liu Thai Ker will be remembered for his dedication to citizens' quality of life. Dr Liu died on Jan 18 at the age of 87, following a short hospital stay. He is widely regarded as the architect of modern Singapore, spearheading iconic features of its landscape like its public housing and inclusion of nature.
