Chan Chun Sing urges ASEAN countries to take lead in maritime security in region

Singapore Defence Minister Chan Chun Sing has called for ASEAN countries to take the lead in maritime security in the region. This includes establishing a framework to welcome partnerships with China, the United States and Europe. Speaking at the Munich Security Conference, Mr Chan was responding to how the region should perceive the heavier naval presence of the US and China.
