Sylvia Lim on Anti-Money Laundering and Other Matters Bill
The Anti-Money Laundering and Other Matters Bill is part of Singapore's efforts to enhance its anti-money laundering measures and the Workers’ Party supports it, said MP Sylvia Lim. Speaking in Parliament on Tuesday (Aug 6), she pointed out that if implemented, the Bill is just part of an entire ecosystem that needs to be “scrutinised for gaps and vulnerabilities”. Ms Lim also sought clarifications on the Bill, relating to restitution to crime victims, change to the law in the Jeanette Ang case and the quality of Suspicious Transaction Reports.
