Thailand's parliament has re-elected Anutin Charnvirakul as prime minister, after he secured 293 out of 498 votes — surpassing the 250-vote threshold needed to win. Mr Anutin's rival, opposition People's Party leader Natthaphong Ruengpanyawut, only secured 119 votes as 86 lawmakers decided to abstain and vote for neither candidate. The Bhumjaithai Party had scored a decisive win in the Thai general elections held almost two months ago. Saksith Saiyasombut reports.
