Each forging a new approach to help their people, these trailblazers carry the burden of expectation on their shoulders, but also hold the key to their city’s future.

In Bangkok, the social media-savvy Governor, Chadchart Sittipunt, grapples with citizen’s complaints as he attempts to change mindsets. He takes inspiration from Quezon City’s Mayor Joy Belmonte, who is on a personal mission to clean up one of the biggest trash-producing cities in the Philippines. 

In Surabaya, Indonesia, two tenacious residents track down the young mayor, Eri Cahyadi after their homes are inundated with severe flooding. They will not rest until the problem is solved.  While, official Supriya Sahu, attempts to plant a mega-mangrove forest and bring Chennai’s coastline back to life after a devastating oil spill.
