Travellers upgrade insurance policies as tensions disrupt travel plans

Nearly nine in 10 travellers are upgrading their travel insurance as geopolitical tensions disrupt flights and create uncertainty. Travel agencies report falling demand for European trips, with some seeing sales drop by 20 per cent, while interest shifts towards Asian destinations. However, this has driven up regional travel costs. At the same time, more travellers are opting for higher-tier insurance plans and add-ons, seeking greater flexibility in an increasingly unpredictable travel environment. Germaine Wong reports.
