US-Iran Deal: IRGC strikes Kuwait and Bahrain, warns of halt to negotiations
Iran's top diplomat warns that any attempt to bypass the Strait of Hormuz route agreed with the US will – quote, "increase tensions". Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi's latest statement comes as Washington and Tehran traded fresh strikes and accused each other of violating a fragile ceasefire. Iran's Revolutionary Guards say they launched missiles and drones at US military sites in Kuwait and Bahrain, in retaliation for recent American strikes. The US military confirmed it struck 10 Iranian military targets - including surveillance infrastructure, missile and drone storage facilities, as well as coastal radar sites. Washington says the strikes were carried out after Iran attacked a Panama-flagged oil tanker, while it was transiting the Strait of Hormuz. Tehran had warned ships not to enter or leave the Gulf through the Strait of Hormuz without permission.
