Singapore and Malaysia “will always be closely intertwined and interdependent” and Singapore is committed to working with the new Malaysian government to seek win-win outcomes for the long term, said Foreign Affairs Minister Vivian Balakrishnan in Parliament on Monday (Sep 13). He was answering MPs’ questions on the recent change of leadership in Malaysia and any possible impact on bilateral projects such as the Rapid Transit System Link with Johor and COVID-19 border control measures.
