Committee of Supply 2026 debate, Day 3: Gan Siow Huang on quality industrial spaces to support growth sectors and firms
Singapore is building a new AI park called "Kampong AI" as a hub for AI start-ups and talent to congregate, exchange and testbed ideas that will drive the country’s future economic growth. Ready in 2028, it will be the first start-up community in Singapore with work and living spaces under one roof. Meanwhile, JTC will establish a new LaunchPad @ Punggol Digital District from the end of this year and is master-planning a new Woodlands Gateway district to be Singapore’s northern gateway to the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone. Minister of State for Trade and Industry Gan Siow Huang spoke on these spaces and critical infrastructure to support start-ups in parliament on Monday (Mar 2). She also outlined Singapore’s strategies to build strong global partnerships to help its businesses internationalise.
