Committee of Supply 2026 debate, Day 6: Sharael Taha on developing youth potential and supporting seniors
In a rapidly changing world with new tech industries that are expanding, more young people in the Malay-Muslim community must dare to dream, be confident in their abilities and pursue future opportunities, said MP Sharael Taha. He called on the government, community organisations and schools to work more closely together on not just academic support but also career exposure and mentorship for youths. In parliament on Thursday (Mar 5), Mr Sharael also said mosques can work more closely with agencies to provide comprehensive health, financial and social support to seniors, who see them as trusted and familiar places.
