Tan Kiat How on Home Caregiving Grant
The Home Caregiving Grant (HCG) is targeted at people who need permanent assistance with at least three of the six activities of daily living (ADLs). A range of other subsidised care schemes is available to those who do not meet this threshold. Senior Minister of State for Health Tan Kiat How said this in parliament on Wednesday (Aug 5) in reply to an MP’s question on extending the HCG to those with two ADL requirements who are not able to live independently.
