Consolidating expertise within the Health Sciences Authority (HSA) can produce a regulator that is more specialised, agile and capable of responding in an increasingly complex healthcare environment and ecosystem. But greater authority must be accompanied by equally clear accountability, coordination and capability, said MP Hamid Razak in parliament on Wednesday (Sep 9).
