Saktiandi Supaat on Statutes (Miscellaneous Amendments) (No. 2) Bill
Welcoming the stronger emphasis on energy within the newly renamed Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry (METI), MP Saktiandi Supaat said that bringing energy planning closely together with economic policy can help Singapore match new investments with the power infrastructure they require. He asked the government to elaborate on the advantages of this integrated approach and how it will assess whether the arrangements remain adequate. He also suggested that future updates to parliament explain how the arrangements are helping to deliver infrastructure on time and manage the impact of the energy transition on household and business costs. He spoke in the House on Tuesday (Nov 3).
