White Paper on Singapore Women’s Development: Janet Ang on support for women at work
Employers need to recognise that female employees are generally the primary caregivers and face challenges in managing work and personal responsibilities. Flexible work arrangements can better support female employees in managing both aspects, said NMP Janet Ang. Speaking in Parliament on Tuesday (Apr 5), she said the Singapore National Employers Federation strongly encourages employers to implement flexible work arrangements to help achieve work-life harmony. Turning to workplace bullying and discrimination, she said it is imperative to have a trusting workplace culture. She suggested that companies have whistle-blowing processes so that victims can safely have their grievances heard.
