White Paper on Singapore Women’s Development: Low Yen Ling on uplifting, protecting and reflecting interests of women

Singapore will "stride decisively ahead" to realise greater equality between women and men, through three key action plans in the White Paper, said Minister of State for Culture, Community and Youth and Trade and Industry Low Yen Ling. Speaking in Parliament on Tuesday (Apr 5), she said the action plans will uplift caregivers, many of whom are women, by working closely with the community to lighten their load. It will also ensure the protection of women in sports, by providing safe environments and ensuring zero tolerance towards any misconduct. It will also develop national standards for products, services and procedures to better reflect the needs of women.
