White Paper on Singapore Women’s Development: Yip Hon Weng on support and recognition for caregivers
Have a "Caregivers Day" or "Caregivers Week" to create awareness and recognition to show appreciation for their essential role in society. This can be similar to the support from businesses and organisations for SAF Day, said MP Yip Hon Weng. Speaking in Parliament on Tuesday (Apr 5), he also urged the Government to consider providing grants for employers to offer paid leave to caregivers, as well as tax breaks for items that are not subsidised under the Seniors' Mobility and Enabling Fund.
