Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programmes were once seen as a cornerstone of corporate and academic culture in the US. But US President Donald Trump has ordered their removal across all federal agencies, with some surprising consequences. For one, information about women in leadership roles in STEM and in the military has been either removed or rewritten, raising concerns about its impact on young girls. Toni Waterman has more.
