Parents of children with West syndrome and Harlequin ichthyosis navigate seizures, intensive treatments and daily care while celebrating every small achievement. Mothers of adult sons with ADHD, autism and intellectual disabilities devote years to helping them gain confidence, skills and independence.

The series also follows families facing ALS and dementia, where spouses and children provide constant care as their loved ones gradually lose their independence.
