Zaqy Mohamad on support for retrenched staff of GrabTaxi
The Ministry of Manpower became aware of GrabTaxi’s decision to cut jobs on Jun 20 this year. It also received the company’s Mandatory Retrenchment Notifications which were submitted within five working days after affected employees were notified of their retrenchment, as required under the Employment Act. Digital Industry Singapore is working with the Taskforce for Responsible Retrenchment and Employment Facilitation to ensure a smooth transition of the affected staff. In particular, e2i is in touch with GrabTaxi Holdings and has offered career coaching services, employability workshops and other job facilitation initiatives.
