Zhulkarnain Abdul Rahim on Online Safety (Relief and Accountability) Bill
The Online Safety (Relief and Accountability) Bill will be a powerful tool to help victims stop immediate harm, obtain justice swiftly and avoid being retraumatised, said MP Zhulkarnain Abdul Rahim. Speaking in parliament on Wednesday (Nov 5), he said the bill is a novel piece of legislation that places Singapore at the vanguard of legal innovation in the online safety space. He stressed the need to keep the victims’ perspectives “front and centre” by ensuring access to swift, affordable and final justice without unnecessary delay or retraumatisation.
