Krystal is CNA's Shanghai Correspondent.

Prior to this role, she was a print journalist with Bloomberg News in Hong Kong, covering Asia investing and real estate. Earlier in her career, she reported on Asia commodities and energy from Singapore, which included field assignments to Australia's Pilbara region and China's steel mills in Qingdao. 

 

Beyond journalism, Krystal holds a master's degree in counselling and practiced clinically. She also teaches yoga in her spare time. 

 

She is passionate about stories that explore the intersection of different beats, including society, business and finance.
 

She speaks English, Mandarin and Cantonese, and holds certifications in Korean and Japanese.
