Lydia has covered the court beat since 2018. She graduated from Nanyang Technological University in 2012 with a degree in English Literature and began her news career at the now-defunct My Paper in 2015, followed by a brief stint at The Straits Times.
She cut her teeth on the complex Aljunied–Hougang Town Council civil trial and has covered high-profile lawsuits involving Singapore’s Lee family and criminal cases involving politicians S Iswaran and Pritam Singh.
She has dabbled in courtroom sketching while taking notes at the same time and has won awards for excellence in reporting.
