LG Energy Solution signs contract with Hanwha QCells to supply 5GWh ESS battery

SEOUL, Feb 4 : South Korea's LG Energy Solution said on Wednesday it has signed a contract with Hanwha QCells USA to supply 5 gigawatt-hours energy storage system batteries between 2028 and 2030.
The company said in a press release that the batteries will be lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cells made in its plant in Holland, Michigan, and used for Hanwha's utility project in the United States.
