Are you lonely in Singapore? A call for honest reflections
#WHOISCHECKINGIN is a new campaign by Talking Point that aims to find out how lonely young adults in Singapore are.
SINGAPORE: Fancy a free live portrait? CNA’s Talking Point is inviting young adults to pop-ups happening this weekend — you can share your experiences with loneliness in Singapore on camera and take home an A5-sized portrait by artist Sharon Yang Ge.
Timing: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Locations:Â
July 20: Paya Lebar Quarter Mall (in front of Starbucks)
July 21: Raffles City Shopping Centre (at the entrance leading from the MRT station)Â
These pop-ups are part of a series of activities organised by Talking Point leading up to World Mental Health Day on Oct 10.
The programme also teamed up with Elmo to ask Singapore:
How have you been doing?
This simple question, first posed by Elmo to the world this January, set off a flood of responses — millions of people on social media got candid about their emotional well-being.
How are Singaporeans doing today? Talking Point teamed up with Elmo to ask this question.
In particular: Do you feel lonely? What makes you feel this way? And do you have someone to turn to?
Elmo and Talking Point want to hear from you. Share your story anonymously through this questionnaire.
HERE ARE SOME OF YOUR RESPONSES:
When was the last time you checked in with someone? Elmo and his friends have some tips on connecting with your loved ones and nurturing their emotional well-being.
