A rooftop farm above Beauty World Centre is growing more than vegetables — it’s building a community around turning food waste into resources, practising permaculture, and learning by doing. Hui Wong finds out from Tan Jing Xiang, Co-founder of wethefarm and Associate landscape architecture at Earthscape concepts Pte Ltd on how wethefarm has drawn in volunteers of all ages, partnered with schools and local groups, and created a space where people reconnect with nature, with each other, and with what ends up on their plates.

In ‘Made in SG’, Melanie Oliveiro profiles Singaporean artist Eunice Yeo, who has just unveiled “WINGS” – her newest work – at Marina Bay Sands. Yeo will talk about how she used upcycled glass fragments and reclaimed crystal pieces - meticulously applied onto steel structures - to create four wings in bright hues of blue, green, yellow, pink, orange and silver. She’ll explain why proceeds from the sale of the artwork will go towards supporting the Singapore Red Cross Young Hearts Programme.
