There is a sense that Gen Zs are feeling increasingly disenfranchised, as youth unemployment soars and economic opportunities dwindle. We speak with CNA senior correspondent Wei Du, who tracked the spate of Gen Z protests in Asia as part of an Insight documentary, and Dr Eugene Mark, Fellow and Co-coordinator of Thailand Studies, ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute, on what’s driving today’s youth-led protests.
