Choose the right people to run the country: Shanmugam

SINGAPORE — Foreign Affairs Minister K Shanmugam has said the upcoming General Election is about voters choosing the right people to run the country.
He was speaking on the sidelines of a PAssionArts Festival event in Yishun on yesterday evening (Aug 15).
Responding to a question about his take on the challenge from the Workers’ Party, he said Singaporeans have to consider: “Basic facilities - who can run them well? Do you trust people with your money? Do you think they are people of integrity?
“Can you look at them in the eye and believe that these people will deliver on their promises? I think underlying it all, it’s really a question of honesty, integrity and trust. Those are the choices for the people.” CHANNEL NEWSASIA
