Nearly 4,000 Erimin-5 tablets seized from man at Tuas Checkpoint

SINGAPORE — A total of 3,999 Erimin-5 tablets, with a potential street value of S$28,000, were seized from a Malaysian man yesterday (Jan 14) at the Tuas Checkpoint.
According to a joint news release from the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) and the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB), the 27-year-old driving a Malaysian-registered car was stopped by ICA officers at about 7.30pm for routine checks upon arrival at the checkpoint.
ICA officers uncovered four black polythene packages containing the drugs, hidden behind the glove compartment. The CNB was immediately alerted.
Investigations are currently ongoing.
