SINGAPORE — A 33-year-old man was taken to hospital after being hit by a trailer along Tuas South Avenue 3 on Wednesday (May 24).

In response to TODAY’s queries, the police said that they were alerted to an accident at 12.06pm involving a trailer and a pedestrian on the stretch towards Tuas West Road.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force said separately that it took “one person to National University Hospital”.

The male trailer driver, 41, is assisting with investigations, the police said.

An in-vehicle recording posted on Roads.sg Facebook page showed a man running from the rightmost lane of a four-lane road towards the direction of a public bus on the left-most lane.

While the vehicle recording the footage managed to slow down on the third lane after spotting the man, he was then hit by an incoming orange-and-blue trailer driving in the second  lane.

Debris from the impact could be seen lying on the road.

The footage has also been shared on other social media and messaging platforms.
