PM Lee to deliver National Day Rally speech on Sunday

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will deliver his National Day Rally speech on Sunday, Aug 18, at the Institute of Technical Education in Ang Mo Kio.

SINGAPORE — Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will deliver his National Day Rally 2019 speech this Sunday (Aug 18) at the Institute of Technical Education in Ang Mo Kio.

Mr Lee will speak in Malay and Mandarin from 6.45pm to 7.30pm, and in English from 8.15pm to 9.30pm, the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) said in a statement on Sunday (Aug 11).

Mr Lee typically uses the rally to unveil policy changes, and the speech is widely seen as the most important political speech of the year.

This is the seventh time that the rally will be held at the ITE.

The rally will be broadcast on local TV channels and radio stations.

The rally will also be live streamed on PMO's YouTube page, Mr Lee’s Facebook page, government feedback unit Reach's Facebook page, and on Mediacorp's Toggle.sg and CNA.

The public can get live updates on the rally at Mr Lee’s Facebook page and Twitter account as the speech is delivered.
