Thundery showers expected for first 2 weeks of September
Widespread thundery showers accompanied by gusty winds can be expected in the morning on a couple of days in the first two weeks of September, MSS said.
SINGAPORE – If you’re leaving clothes out to dry, try not to leave it unattended for too long as the weatherman predicts more wet weather over the first two weeks of September.
During this period, thundery showers are forecast to fall over Singapore in the late morning and early afternoon on six to eight days, the Meteorological Service Singapore (MSS) said in its fortnightly weather advisory on Friday (Aug 31).
Widespread thundery showers accompanied by gusty winds can be expected in the morning on a couple of days, MSS added.
While the mercury is expected to range between 25°C and 33°C on most days, the temperature may hit highs of around 34°C on a few days with little or no rainfall.
MSS attributes the upcoming rainy days to prevailing Southwest Monsoon conditions and expects the rainfall for the first fortnight of September to be near average for many parts of Singapore.
