SINGAPORE — Local telcom operator Singtel has announced that it will extend Singtel WiFi access to its broadband customers. Starting from Wednesday (Sept 7), all new and existing Singtel Fibre Broadband customers will enjoy free and unlimited data usage at more than 900 Singtel WiFi hotspots around Singapore.
Singtel is the first in Singapore to offer free out-of-home WiFi to broadband customers. This plan will run until Sept 30, 2017.
Customers will be able to access WiFi at popular public venues — including shopping malls such as Cathay Cineleisure, JEM and Nex; eateries such as McDonald’s restaurants; and MRT platforms — on any WiFi-enabled device.
Mr Goh Seow Eng, Managing Director of Home, Consumer Singapore, Singtel, said: “We are pleased to offer our Fibre Broadband customers extra value on their plans and affordable options to stay connected … they don’t have to wait to watch that big match or the latest episode of their favourite Korean drama – they can just login and enjoy content on-the-go, via their smartphones, tablets or laptops, without having to keep an eye on their mobile data usage.”
Customers can activate and set up their complimentary Singtel WiFi account at www.singtel.com/singtelwifibroadband.
